something but the past is done.

    I know you're not on here much, but I wanted to answer your question. No, I don't worry about sand getting in her eyes. She has very long eye lashes, and I've never had an issue with sand getting in her actual eye. Around them, yes, but not in them. If sand's near them, I just brush it off. The salt water does tend to dry in the corners of her eyes and attract sand and dirt, but again I just wipe it off.

    Her fur is of course very short and tight being a shorthaired Doxie, but sand comes right out of her fur without me having to brush it out, and the salt water leaves her skin and coat beautifully soft and sleek. I don't even bathe her after the beach.
